Nikon D5500 Digital SLR Camera

Nikon D5500 Camera

The Nikon D5500 is a new DX camera with a 24.2-megapixel image sensor without an optical low-pass filter, it is also complemented with a powerful EXPEED 4 image-processing engine, this is all packed in a compact, lightweight body.

This camera appears to a little smaller than the previous model, perhaps this is an attempt by Nikon to compete with the mirrorless range of cameras which are both smaller in size and lighter in weight.

The camera has a touch screen interface to make the camera simple to operate. Simply touch anywhere on the screen to focus, then release your finger to shoot. You can also tap the screen to focus during movie recording, and use it to adjust settings like aperture and shutter speed whether in live view or viewfinder photography. Browsing through all the menus only takes a flick of a finger, and you can swipe left and right to move between pictures in playback and pinch in and out to zoom.

Nikon D5500 Camera

You can share and shoot via built in Wi-Fi mobile Utility. This camera forms a great basis for being introduced to photography.

A GP-1/GP-1A GPS Unit is optional to add location data to your pictures to keep a more detailed record of your activities.
