  • Camera
  • Backup camera if required
  • Battery
  • Spare battery if required
  • Battery charger
  • Inverter can be an advantage for battery charging from a car battery
  • Plenty of memory cards
  • Sensor cleaning equipment, at least a large blower
  • Cleaning tissues
  • Camera bag for hand luggage
  • Flash unit
  • Off camera flash cord
  • Lenses, wide angle, normal, telephoto, zoom, macro, etc.
  • Extension tubes
  • Close up lens, macro
  • Laptop computer
  • Flash card reader
  • Portable hard drives
  • Drive cables
  • Neutral density filters
  • Polarizing filters
  • Tripod
  • Graduated filters
  • Tripod ball head

Action check list to ensure all aspects are in order.

  • Rotate memory cards to use as backups, do not clear them until all files are backed up
  • Check files at end of each day
  • Make notes where images were taken
  • Post images to web
