Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM

The Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Autofocus Lens is a cheaper version of the 85mm f/1.2 lens, it is very compact and priced quite reasonably. This lens is great for portraits and people images. Images will be sharp and clear at all apertures.

The lens gives beautiful background blur and the front lens group does not rotate during focusing making it great for using filters.

This lens can be very suited for sports events and nature. Portrait photographers also love this focal length and it has become very popular.

Also do not forget the telephoto lens for use in landscape useage, very dramatic images can be obtained by isolating a selection of a landscape for beautiful images.
