Nikon, Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED AF-S Lens Review

This lens is a super sharp wide angle lens with a large aperture of f/1.4 for existing and low light photography.

The lens uses ED elements and nano crystal coating to reduce ghosting and flare.

The lens provides a M/A swirch for autofocus with manual override and M for manual focussing.

The lens is well protected against dust and moisture with sealing. Focus acquisition speed with the lens is reasonably fast for such a lens and auto focus is very accurate.

The lens sharpness and contrast is as good as any lens made by Nikon even at f/1.4. The bokeh is not as good as some lenses such as the 85mm f/1.4 but is still very good.

There is some vignetting present at f/1.4 but is eliminated at f/4. The lens has Nikon’s nano coating, glass which reduces ghosting and flare.
